Why Choose CoreWave Vascular For Your Ultrasound
CoreWave Vascular delivers high-precision vascular ultrasound imaging accompanied by meticulously detailed, custom-designed reporting diagrams for every scan. These specialised diagrams are an invaluable resource for procedural planning and post-operative follow-up, supporting optimal patient outcomes.
Unlike standard radiology clinics, we consistently exceed conventional vascular imaging protocols by providing enhanced anatomical and haemodynamic detail. Our experienced sonographers are trained to recognise when additional imaging is clinically warranted and will extend the scan appropriately to address specific diagnostic queries.
Your Expert Vascular Sonographer
Amanda Stent is an Accredited Vascular Sonographer, performing vascular testing since 2010, completing a Diploma in Vascular Ultrasound in Medicine in 2014. Her specialised training was undertaken within a Perth-based cardiovascular clinic under the mentorship of multiple Vascular Surgeons across both metropolitan and regional Western Australia. Her scanning practice is distinguished by meticulous attention to detail and a focus on delivering clinically relevant, surgery-oriented imaging to support optimal patient outcomes.
Amanda has also provided intraoperative ultrasound support for a range of endovenous procedures, including Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT), Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Venaseal, Glue, and sclerotherapy. Internationally, she has contributed to multidisciplinary care teams within the UK’s NHS at University Lewisham Hospital and Greenwich Hospital, gaining insight into global best practices in vascular diagnostics.
Her research involvement includes collaborative studies on arteriovenous fistulas, aspiration catheters, and intravascular lithotripsy with organisations such as Vascore, Corelab Black Forest, and the Yale Cardiovascular Research Group.
Amanda combines technical excellence with a compassionate approach, ensuring patients feel heard and supported throughout their diagnostic experience.

The Importance of Your Sonographer
The quality of vascular imaging and reporting plays a critical role in diagnostic accuracy and clinical outcomes — and this is directly influenced by the sonographer’s training and expertise.
At CoreWave Vascular, all examinations are performed exclusively by accredited Vascular Sonographers who hold a Diploma in Vascular Ultrasound in Medicine. These practitioners undergo extensive, specialised training within dedicated vascular settings, developing advanced technical proficiency, a deep understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology, and strong clinical reasoning skills. This enables them to apply theoretical principles in complex anatomical regions — often affected by patient limitations — and to provide accurate provisional and differential diagnoses.
This level of expertise significantly exceeds the scope of general sonographers who may have only limited vascular exposure as part of a broader diploma. For assurance that your scan is being conducted by a formally trained and accredited Vascular Sonographer, you may verify credentials through the accreditation register at the link below.
Is Ultrasound Safe?
Diagnostic ultrasound is widely regarded as a safe imaging modality, utilising low-intensity sound waves without ionising radiation. Decades of clinical use and extensive research have demonstrated no known adverse health effects associated with its use in medical diagnostics.
